Welcome to the KCC Family Sale your one-stop consignment event where families can buy and sell items for everyone in the household! From baby gear to kids toys, teen fashion to adult clothing, we make it simple to turn your gently-loved items into cash while helping other families find great deals.


Consigning with KCC How It Works

Earnings

  • Consignors earn 60% of the selling price on all items sold.
  • A $13 consignor fee is deducted after the sale.
  • Checks are mailed directly from the bank within 10-14 business days once sales are finalized.
  • Want to boost your profit? Volunteer with us and increase your earnings while reducing your fee. (See our Helper Information page for details.)

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Create your account Click Sign Up to Sell to get started.
  2. Schedule drop-off Select a time in your Control Panel.
  3. Prepare items Review the Accepted Items and 4 Cs sections below.
  4. Tag items Use our Online Tagging System in your Control Panel. Helpful video tutorials are on YouTube.
  5. Drop off Bring your items during your assigned time and place them on the sales floor.
  6. Track sales Watch your sales update online nightly.
  7. Pick up or donate Collect your unsold items at the scheduled pick-up time or donate them to charity.
  8. Get paid Receive your check shortly after the sale!

Accepted Items

As a Family Sale, we welcome items for all ages kids, teens, and adults plus family-friendly essentials.

Always accepted:

  • Clothing for all ages (baby, kids, teens, adults)
  • Shoes for every size
  • Accessories (purses, jewelry, belts, scarves, hats, hair items)
  • Toys of all types and ages
  • Books (baby board books to adult fiction)
  • Games, puzzles, crafts, and activities
  • Sports gear and outdoor equipment
  • Ride-on toys, bikes, scooters, Power Wheels (must be working)
  • Play centers (kitchens, dollhouses, tool benches, easels shopper favorites!)
  • Baby gear (swaddles, bibs, blankets, feeding and bathing items, potty training items, etc.)
  • Baby equipment: Pack n Plays, bassinets, cribs, strollers, swings, bouncers, high chairs (always best sellers!)
  • Popular kitchen items
  • Household decor, pet supplies

Items Not Accepted

  • Stained, damaged, or worn clothing (visible signs of heavy use)
  • Broken, dirty, or incomplete items
  • Food (exception: unopened, non-expired formula)

The 4 Cs of Consigning

  • Clean All items must be freshly washed, free of stains, odors, or heavy wear. Large gear (strollers, swings, exersaucers, high chairs) must be wiped down and seat covers washed.
  • Complete Items must include all parts and be in working order. Battery-operated gear must have working batteries installed. Small parts should be sealed in clear bags and taped to the item.
  • Current Items should be less than five years old and in style. Car seats must be under five years old, with a signed disclaimer confirming no recalls or accidents. Cribs must be manufactured after June 28, 2011.
  • Compliant No recalled items. Please check recall lists before consigning.

Tagging Guidelines

  • Sort items by type and size before tagging.
  • Secure toys, puzzles, and games with all pieces included. Use zip ties for shoes. Package blankets in zip bags.
  • Enter item details in the system: description, size, price, discount option, and donate option.
  • Print tags on white cardstock only. Add a small personal mark (stamp, sticker, or shape) for identification at pick-up.
  • Attach tags securely:
  • Clothing tagging gun or safety pins (avoid collars/fronts).
  • Books painters tape (packing tape damages covers).
  • Toys zip ties, painters tape, or clear packing tape.
  • Hang clothing with hangers facing like a question mark (?).

Pricing Tips

  • Only consign items in excellent condition.
  • Price at 40-50% of retail, considering brand, demand, and condition.
  • Lower pricing: newborn clothing, junior sizes, and value brands (Carters, Old Navy, Garanimals).
  • Higher pricing: large toys, baby gear, boutique and name brands (Gymboree, Janie & Jack, Matilda Jane, Ralph Lauren, etc.).
  • Mark items for Discount Day consignors who do so usually earn more and leave with fewer unsold items.

Consignor Drop-Off

  • Reserve a drop-off time in My Closet.
  • Check in first well confirm your payout info and provide presale passes, floor maps, and other key details.
  • Carts and racks are available, or bring your own.
  • Clothing must be hung and tagged before arrival.
  • Volunteers will help guide you to the right areas of the sales floor.
  • After drop-off, our team reorganizes the floor for the best shopping experience. Don't be alarmed if your items are moved they've just been re-sorted for display.
  • Kids are welcome, but many consignors prefer to come solo for efficiency.

Consignor Pick-Up

  • Use our carts/racks or bring your own.
  • Items are sorted by consignor code (clothing, shoes, toys, books, baby gear, etc.). Sorting depends on volunteer help.
  • Gather your items and have a volunteer check them before leaving. No items may leave the building without verification.
  • After checkout, sign out at the table. Hangers and extra safety pins are available for consignors.
  • Cant pick up? Please let us know. Items not collected by the deadline will be donated.

2. Gather your nearly new items in great condition.

3. Launder and clean any items you are bringing to the sale.

4. Prep them for the sale by hanging clothing on a hanger and securing other items appropriately by reading our Merchandise Prep page.

5. Price and tag your items using our online tagging system.

6. Drop off your items at one of our drop off days/times.

7. Shop at our Consignor Presale where you get to shop before we open to the public.

8. Pick up your unsold items or consider donating to our local charity.
