Carol Yates & Jolie Meares- Fayetteville, NC

We are thrilled to be able to bring Kid's Closet Connection to Fayetteville!  KCC Fayetteville is a 3 generation family run business owned and operated by Carol Yates, her daughter, Jolie Yates and grandaughter, Jolie Dee.

Carol & Richard Yates were high school sweethearts who married in 1964. They were married for 41 years until Richard went to be with our Lord and Savior. Richard joined the U.S. Airforce at the age of 19. He retired as a Master Seargent in 1981 after serving his country for 21 years. Carol was a dedicated military wife, mother, and business partner. Upon his retirement they made Fayetteville their home. They owned and operated a rental business near Ft. Bragg which housed mostly military families.

We are very proud & honored to dedicate Kid's Closet Connection - Fayetteville to Richard Eugene Yates Jr.  He was a big hearted, caring, and loving husband, dad, and grandad.  Several years after his retirement, my dad volunteered countless hours as an administrator for a local private Christian School where he was affectionately known as "THE CANDY MAN."  Everyday at lunch he would walk into the lunchroom with a HUGE bowl of candy and shout "Has everybody been good today?"  The kids would shout back "YES."  Then he would say "I can't hear you", "Has everybody been good today?"  He was met with a resounding "YES!"  The teachers would plug their ears as the children would squeal in delight.  The look on my dad's face was priceless as he passed out the candy knowing the kids loved this tradition and the teachers acted as if they didn't care for the shouting, rowdy, sugared up kids. To this day I still don't know who enjoyed it more the kids, the teachers, or my dad "THE CANDY MAN."
